The Indian government has introduced significant GST rate cuts to make everyday items, healthcare, education, agriculture, and even automobiles more affordable.

Cheaper Daily-Use Goods

  • Hair oil, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet soap, toothbrushes, shaving cream: reduced from 18% → 5%
  • Butter, ghee, cheese, dairy spreads: reduced from 12% → 5%
  • Pre-packaged namkeens, bhujia & mixtures: reduced from 12% → 5%
  • Utensils: reduced from 12% → 5%
  • Feeding bottles, baby napkins & clinical diapers: reduced from 12% → 5%
  • Sewing machines & spare parts: reduced from 12% → 5%

Support for Farmers & Agriculture

  • Tractor tyres & spare parts: reduced from 18% → 5%
  • Tractors: reduced from 12% → 5%
  • Specified bio-pesticides & micro-nutrients: reduced from 12% → 5%
  • Drip irrigation systems & sprinklers: reduced from 12% → 5%
