This marks President Murmu’s third milestone sortie in frontline military aircraft, having previously flown in the Sukhoi Su-30MKI (2023) and the Dassault Rafale (2025).
The LCH Prachand, manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), was inducted into the IAF fleet in 2023 and is designed for high-altitude combat operations, reinforcing India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat push in defence manufacturing.
