NITI Aayog GVC Report β Automotive Sector
India’s automotive component exports are targeted to triple from USD 20 billion to USD 60 billion by 2030, per NITI Aayog’s April 2025 GVC report. Total component production is projected at USD 145 billion by 2030. India is the world’s 4th-largest automobile producer, having produced over 28 million vehicles in FY2023β24.

IICT β India’s First AVGC-XR Institute
The Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) will be India’s first AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics & Extended Reality) institute, set up at Dadasaheb Phalke Film City, Goregaon, Mumbai on a 10-acre plot (30-year lease). Equity: GoI 34%, Maharashtra 14%, FICCI+CII 52%. Initial GoI grant: Rs 391.15 crore. Structure: Section 8 not-for-profit company.

PM POSHAN β Revised Material Costs (May 2025)
The MoE revised PM POSHAN material costs by 9.5% (based on CPI-RL trends), effective May 1, 2025. Revised rates: Primary (Grades 1β5): Rs 6.78/day (from Rs 6.19); Upper Primary (Grades 6β8): Rs 10.17/day (from Rs 9.29). Additional Union Government burden: Rs 954 crore.

President Murmu’s Visit to Portugal

PM Modi inaugurated a highway underpass tunnel on NH-31 near Varanasi International Airport worth over Rs 980 crore in April 2025.
