The Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) released the inaugural Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) baseline report for FY 2022–23 in April 2025, marking the first systematic measurement of Gram Panchayat performance against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
