Commissioned 3 April 2026 at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam; joins Eastern Fleet. Weapons: BrahMos missiles, MRSAM. Project 17A total: 7 frigates — 4 at MDL, 3 at GRSE.

NSE and IGX (Indian Gas Exchange Limited) announced India’s first domestic benchmark natural gas futures on 1 April 2026. GIXI = Gas IndeX of India, developed by IGX.
