Signed at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi; Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and NZ Trade Minister Todd McClay. Key: 100% duty-free access for all Indian exports from day one; NZ commits USD 20 billion over 15 years; India liberalises 70.03% tariff lines (~95% trade value); sensitive sectors (dairy, edible oils, sugar) excluded; 5,000 TEE visas for Indian professionals. UNESCO Global Geoparks — April 2026 Update
12 new geoparks added; total now 241 across 51 countries, covering over 882,000 sq km. Tunisia’s Dahar Geopark — first-ever UNESCO Global Geopark for an Arab African nation. Notably, India has no UNESCO Global Geoparks as of 2026. UNESCO Global Geopark label created in 2015; valid for 4 years with mandatory revalidation (green card = full; yellow card = 2-year conditional). New geoparks span China, France, Greece, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Portugal, Russia, Tunisia, Uruguay.

Passed away 25 April 2026 at Zirakpur, Chandigarh; aged 84; born 1 April 1942, Lyallpur (now Faisalabad, Pakistan). Member of Indian hockey team — Bronze medal, 1968 Mexico City Olympics. RBI approved One MobiKwik Systems Limited for NBFC via subsidiary MobiKwik Financial Services Private Limited. Minimum Net Owned Fund (NOF): Rs 10 crore (to be met by March 31, 2027). UP CM Yogi Adityanath announced a 10-year warranty model for rural water schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) — making UP the first state to mandate long-term accountability under JJM.
