GRSE — India’s 29th Navratna CPSE
Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), under MoD, upgraded from Miniratna Category-I to Navratna by DPE, Ministry of Finance. Navratna autonomy: invest up to Rs 1,000 crore or 15% of net worth per project without prior govt approval. GRSE revenue: Rs 1,754 cr (FY22) → Rs 7,002 cr (FY26) (~300% growth). HQ: Kolkata, West Bengal. India now has 29 Navratna CPSEs.

VOC Port — Scope-2 Emission Free Port
V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA), Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu recognised as Scope-2 Emission Free Port by MoPS&W. Means zero indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, steam & cooling. Overall: 45% reduction in net carbon emissions. Announced by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Transport Bhawan, New Delhi.

Kerala Budget FY27 — Mission Samudra
Revised FY27 Budget presented by CM V.D. Satheesan (also Finance Minister). Mission Samudra: Rs 400 crore — integrates coastline, ports & inland waterways. Other allocations: Aviation Hub (Rs 200 cr), Life Science City (Rs 100 cr), Mineral Corridor (Rs 100 cr), Economic Corridor (Rs 50 cr), Oommen Chandy Health Insurance Scheme (Rs 10 cr; covers up to Rs 25 lakh/family).
