Aarogya Setu 2.0 & Digital Health Ecosystem
Launched by JP Nadda (MoHFW) in June 2026. Primary function: rebuilt national health app & PHR (Personal Health Record) platform for creating ABHA ID (Ayushman Bharat Health Account). Co-launched: Ayushman Sarathi (WhatsApp chatbot for PM-JAY) and eSushrut@Clinic (C-DAC-built HMIS). India has 90 crore+ ABHA accounts and 100 crore health records. Overseen by NHA under ABDM (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission).

CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal — Reappointment
Ravi Agrawal (IRS 1988 batch) reappointed as CBDT Chairman for 6 months from 1 July 2026 (till 31 Dec 2026) by ACC (Appointments Committee of Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi). Succeeded Nitin Gupta (initially appointed June 2024). CBDT: apex body for direct tax administration under Dept. of Revenue, MoF; established 1964; HQ: New Delhi.

FCRA = Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010; administered by MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs). FCRA 2.0 Portal launched by Amit Shah (July 2026): reduces paperwork, API-based verification, follows FCRA Amendment Rules, 2026. Currently ~14,500 organisations hold FCRA registration. e-OCI Card benefits 50 lakh+ OCI cardholders; hosted on MeghRaj (National Government Cloud).

EWG constituted by SEBI (June 2026); chaired by Ananta Barua (former SEBI WTM); co-chaired by Rajnish Kumar (former SBI Chairman). Reviews SEBI (Debenture Trustees) Regulations, 1993. India–Saudi Arabia MoU on Water Resources
MoU signed at inaugural Saudi Water Week, Jeddah (June 2026). Signed by Suhel Khan (India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia) and AlFadley (Saudi Minister of Environment, Water & Agriculture); in presence of Fahad Suri (CG of India, Jeddah). Focus: sustainable water management, irrigation, capacity building. India–Saudi Arabia elevated to ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’ in 2019. Indian diaspora in Saudi Arabia: ~2.2 million.

GAGAN & India’s First SLS Approach Trial
GAGAN = GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation — India’s SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System) jointly developed by ISRO and AAI. First SLS approach trial on a commercial jet (IndiGo Airbus A320) at Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur (June 2026). Uses LPV (Localiser Performance with Vertical Guidance) approach. GPS accuracy: ~3 metres. Published LPV approaches: 23; target 40+ by year-end. Enables landings where ILS is absent.

Yamuna Water Project — Rs 34,102 Crore MoA
MoA signed (June 2026) under chairmanship of Amit Shah; signatories: GoI, Haryana (CM Nayab Singh Saini) & Rajasthan (CM Bhajan Lal Sharma). Cost: Rs 34,102 crore; supply: 580 MCM of Yamuna water from Hathnikund Barrage via Western Yamuna Canal (3 underground pipelines; July–October). Benefits: Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) and Bhiwani, Fatehabad (Haryana). Implements 1994 UYRB Agreement. Union Minister: C.R. Patil (Jal Shakti).

Report released by Bhupendra Yadav (MoEFCC) at Alwar, Rajasthan, marking 18 years of tiger reintroduction at Sariska Tiger Reserve. Key challenges: (1) Low prey density, (2) Fragmented habitat connectivity, (3) LWE (Left Wing Extremism) in Central-Eastern belt. Potential recipient sites: Satkosia (Odisha), Buxa (West Bengal), Palamau (Jharkhand). India has 58 Tiger Reserves; population grows at ~6% annually.
