Launched 1 June 2020 under Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoH&UA). Loan tranches: Rs 10,000 (1st), Rs 20,000 (2nd), Rs 50,000 (3rd). Collateral-free working capital for street vendors. Over 1.12 crore loans disbursed (Rs 17,800 crore total); ~75.5 lakh vendors benefited. Offers UPI digital transaction rewards and credit score enhancement. Minister: Manohar Lal Khattar.

BrahMos Missile — Overseas Buyers
BrahMos: supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by India (DRDO) and Russia (NPO Mashinostroyeniya). Speed: Mach 2.8–3.0; range: up to 500 km. Named after rivers Brahmaputra (India) and Moskva (Russia). 1st overseas buyer: Philippines (USD 375 million, 2022). 2nd overseas buyer: Vietnam (USD 629 million, May 2026). Indonesia in final stages of negotiations.

Samadhan Didi — AI Chatbot for CPGRAMS
Launched by MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh (MoPPG&P) at Kartavya Bhawan, May 2026. Developed by DARPG in partnership with BHASHINI. Supports all 22 Eighth Schedule languages plus regional languages (Bhojpuri, Garo, Khasi, Mizo, Bodhi). AI auto-categorises grievances and routes them to the correct authority. CPGRAMS: web-based platform for public grievances addressed to Central Government ministries/departments.

PM-SETU — First SIP Approved for Andhra Pradesh
PM-SETU (Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs): launched October 2025 by PM Modi; budget: Rs 60,000 crore; targets transformation of 1,000 Government ITIs. First-ever Strategic Investment Plan (SIP): Rs 200.21 crore for Visakhapatnam ITI Cluster, Andhra Pradesh, by AM/NS India & NAMTECH. AP is the first state to onboard an Anchor Industry Partner (AIP). Nodal Ministry: MSDE.

AUKUS — Trilateral Defence Partnership
Established in 2021: Australia, United Kingdom (UK), United States (USA). Pillar One: nuclear-powered submarines. Pillar Two: advanced technologies — AI, quantum computing, hypersonic weapons, undersea robotics. June 2026: launched joint Uncrewed Undersea Vehicles (UUV) programme; first delivery expected 2027. India’s Labbaytum Awards — Haj 2026
India received two Labbaytum Awards (Coordination & Communication) from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Haj and Umrah — the first time India received two in a single season. Haj 2026 commenced 18 April 2026; over 1.75 lakh pilgrims via 17 embarkation points. Indian Haj Mission overseen by Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA). Tech initiatives: Haj Suvidha App and Smart Wristbands for real-time tracking.

Sumit Antil (Haryana): two-time Paralympic champion in Javelin Throw F64 (standing athletes with lower limb impairment). Suman Kalyanpur — Padma Bhushan (2023)
Born 28 January 1937, Dhaka; passed away May 2026 (age 89), Mumbai. Veteran Indian playback singer; career began 1954. Awarded Padma Bhushan (India’s 3rd highest civilian honour) in January 2023 for “Arts.” Famous for duets with Mohammed Rafi. Civilian honours order: Bharat Ratna (1st) → Padma Vibhushan (2nd) → Padma Bhushan (3rd) → Padma Shri (4th).
