New Species: Cyttopsis indica — CMFRI Deep-Sea Discovery
Discovered by ICAR-CMFRI in the Arabian Sea off Kerala coast (eastern Lakshadweep Sea). Found at 350–500 metres depth. Species: Cyttopsis indica (Indian dory); genus Cyttopsis — primitive marine ‘dory’ fish. Published in Indian Journal of Fisheries. DNA analysis confirmed distinct structures unique to the Indian Ocean — differentiating it from Atlantic species Cyttopsis rosea. CMFRI is under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) and International Resources Holdings (IRH) (Abu Dhabi-based IHC group) signed MoU with Government of Odisha. Project value: USD 11.5 billion (Rs 1.08 lakh crore) — 50:50 JV. Components: 4 MMTPA alumina refinery, 2 MMTPA aluminium smelter, 4,000 MW captive power plant, 1 MMTPA downstream park.
