Make in India — HVDC Substation Norms
Ministry of Power revised norms for HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) substations in May 2026. Phased local content target: 30% by FY28 → 40% by FY30 → 50% by FY32 → 60% by FY35. Applies to LCC (Line Commutated Converter) HVDC systems under EPC/turnkey contracts. Framework: Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) policy.
