Lieutenant Commander Yashasvi Solanki was appointed Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Droupadi Murmu, becoming the first woman officer from the Indian Navy to hold this prestigious position.
The President appoints five ADCs—three from the Army, one from the Navy, and one from the Air Force. Solanki joined the Navy in 2012 under the Short Service Commission (Logistics Branch).
Lt Cdr Yashasvi Solanki is the first woman naval officer to serve as ADC to the President of India.
The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) organised ‘Yoga Bandhan’ as part of International Day of Yoga 2025 celebrations.
The initiative aims to strengthen global institutional partnerships in yoga, bringing together international yoga scholars, practitioners, and trainers to promote cultural exchange and holistic well-being.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, the highest civilian honour of Cyprus, by President Nikos Christodoulides.
PM Modi dedicated the honour to the people of India and highlighted India’s philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).
The Order of Makarios III is named after Archbishop Makarios III, the first President of Cyprus.

India’s WPI-based inflation declined to 0.39% in May 2025, the lowest in 14 months, down from 0.85% in April.

MI6 (Secret Intelligence Service) is the UK’s foreign intelligence agency, responsible for gathering intelligence outside the UK.

Meta Platforms appointed Arun Srinivas as Managing Director and Head of Meta India, effective 1 July 2025.
Previously Head of Ads Business for Meta India, he will report to Sandhya Devanathan, who now oversees India and Southeast Asia.
Former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant resigned as India’s G20 Sherpa, concluding a 45-year career in public service.
He served as Sherpa from July 2022 and plans to engage with startups, think tanks, and academia.

The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 will be held from 30 September to 2 November across India and Sri Lanka.
India will host the tournament, while Sri Lanka will host Pakistan’s matches.
This will be the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, with India as the primary host nation.
