The Ministry of Education released the PGI 2.0 report assessing school education systems of States and Union Territories for the academic years 2022–23 and 2023–24.
Key Findings:
- Chandigarh emerged as the top performer with a score of 703, placed in Prachesta-1 grade
- Meghalaya ranked last with 417.9 points under Akanshi-3
- No State or UT achieved the top four grades — Daksh, Uttam, Ati-Uttam, or Utkarsh
- 25 States/UTs improved their performance year-on-year

The Delhi Government approved its first-ever artificial rain pilot project to reduce severe air pollution levels.
Project Details:
- Cost: ₹3.21 crore
- Implemented by: IIT Kanpur
- Supported by: India Meteorological Department (IMD)
- Materials used: Silver iodide nanoparticles, iodised salt and rock salt
- Coverage: 5 aircraft sorties, each covering ~100 sq km
This will be India’s first urban cloud-seeding experiment specifically aimed at pollution control.

India launched Operation Sindhu to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in Iran due to escalating Iran–Israel tensions.
Highlights:
- Over 500 Indians evacuated initially
- India also assisted Nepalese and Sri Lankan citizens
