EPFO Introduces Employees’ Enrolment Scheme 2025

  • Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the Employees’ Enrolment Scheme – 2025 during the 73rd EPFO Foundation Day celebration in New Delhi.
  • The initiative allows employers to voluntarily register employees who were left out of EPF coverage between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025, thus ensuring past compliance under the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
  • The scheme will remain open till 30 April 2026, offering a waiver on the employee’s contribution for the declared period, while employers must deposit their share along with interest and nominal penalties.
  • This program aims to promote transparency, enhance EPF coverage, and formalize the workforce, aligning with the national vision of “Social Security for All.”

UIDAI Launches ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ for Future Digital Identity

  • The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has unveiled Aadhaar Vision 2032, a futuristic plan to make Aadhaar more secure, smart, and globally competitive.
  • The roadmap emphasizes the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and advanced encryption techniques to reinforce the Aadhaar ecosystem.
  • The initiative is led by Chairperson Neelkanth Mishra and a High-Level Expert Committee comprising technologists, legal experts, and academics.

Marine Fisheries Census 2025 Goes Fully Digital with VYAS Apps

  • India launched its first-ever fully digital Marine Fisheries Census (MFC) 2025, utilizing the VYAS app suite and drone technology to collect real-time, geo-tagged data.
  • The initiative, unveiled by Union Minister George Kurian in Kochi, operates under the slogan “Smart Census, Smarter Fisheries.”
  • The 45-day survey, conducted from 3 November to 18 December 2025, covers 1.2 million fisher households across 5,000+ coastal villages in 13 coastal states and UTs.
  • Developed by ICAR–CMFRI, the apps VYAS–NAV, VYAS–BHARAT, and VYAS–SUTRA support digital surveys, supervision, and monitoring.
  • Backed by the Department of Fisheries and the Fishery Survey of India, MFC 2025 represents a major step toward data-driven, climate-resilient, and sustainable fisheries management.

  • With over 30 years of experience in defence finance and public administration, he has held significant positions including:
    • Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser (DST)
    • Joint Secretary (Heavy Industry)
    • Finance Manager (Acquisition Wing, MoD)
  • Within the Defence Accounts Department, he has served as Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pensions), Joint CGDA, and Special CGDA, contributing extensively to defence financial management.
