Citibank Appoints Kaustubh Kulkarni as Asia-Pacific IB Co-Head

  • Citibank has named Kaustubh Kulkarni as co-head of investment banking for Japan, North Asia, Australia, and South Asia, effective from December 2025.

Launch of Angikaar 2025 Campaign under PMAY-U 2.0

  • On September 4, 2025, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Shri Manohar Lal launched the Angikaar 2025 campaign under PMAY-U 2.0.
  • The initiative, running till October 31, 2025, will cover over 5,000 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
  • The campaign focuses on last-mile outreach, verifying applications, creating awareness, and expediting completion of sanctioned housing units.

Niti Aayog Strategy to Boost Pulses Production

ISRO’s New Spaceport in Tamil Nadu to Be Ready by 2026

Blood Moon – September 2025

  • On the night of September 7–8, 2025, a total lunar eclipse—popularly known as a Blood Moon—will be visible across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia.
  • The eclipse will last 82 minutes, making it the longest of the year.
  • During the event, the Moon will appear deep red due to Rayleigh scattering as Earth’s shadow completely covers it.
  • Viewing does not require special equipment, though telescopes or binoculars may enhance the experience.
