Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla Named Brand Ambassador of Buildathon 2025

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian to reach the International Space Station (ISS), has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025—the largest-ever school-level hackathon in India.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog.
Over 1 crore students from 5 lakh schools are expected to participate, working on ideas, designs, and prototype development to solve real-world problems.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, focusing on encouraging innovation, creativity, and self-reliance among India’s young minds.

Cabinet Approves Celebration of 150th Anniversary of “Vande Mataram”

The Union Cabinet has approved a nationwide celebration marking 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram.”
Composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in Sanskrit, the song first appeared in his 1882 novel “Anandamath.”
Its first public recital was delivered by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896, giving it national recognition.
As per a 1950 Presidential order, “Vande Mataram” holds a status equal to the national anthem “Jana Gana Mana.”
The song served as a powerful rallying anthem during India’s freedom struggle.

India’s First Cooperative-Run CBG and Potash Project Launched in Maharashtra

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated India’s first cooperative-run Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) and Potash Granule Project at the Shankarrao Kolhe Cooperative Sugar Factory, located in Kopargaon, Maharashtra.
This initiative showcases an ideal model of circular economy and aims to be replicated in 15 cooperative sugar factories across the state.

Patna Metro’s First Phase Inaugurated by CM Nitish Kumar

India has expanded the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to Lulu Group supermarkets in Qatar, after its earlier debut at Hamad International Airport.
The rollout is a collaboration between NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL), Qatar National Bank (QNB), and Japanese gateway NETSTARS.
It enables fast, low-cost transactions and enhances financial connectivity between India and Qatar.
With about 3 lakh Indians residing in Qatar, UPI will simplify remittances and daily payments.
Qatar has become the eighth country to adopt UPI, furthering India’s digital payment diplomacy.
