    • A high-level Philippine delegation has agreed to boost imports of key Indian agricultural and processed food products.
    • The list of imports includes rice, buffalo meat, vegetables, fruits, and peanuts.
    • The decision was finalized after discussions with:
      • Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)
      • Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF)
    • This move aims to deepen bilateral trade ties between the two nations.
  • Moldova Joins the International Solar Alliance (ISA)
    • Moldova has officially become the 107th member of the ISA.
    • The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed that the instrument of ratification was handed over in New Delhi.
    • The handover took place during a meeting between Moldova’s Ambassador to India, Ana Taban, and Indian officials.
    • This followed the formal ratification process conducted by India’s MEA.

National News

  • Launch of ‘Nijut Moina 2.0’ in Assam
    • Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the updated ‘Nijut Moina 2.0’ scheme.
    • The initiative aims to encourage more girls to pursue higher education.
    • Eligible girl students will receive monthly financial assistance.
    • The official launch took place at the Birinchi Kumar Barua Auditorium, Gauhati University.
    • Symbolic distribution of application forms occurred across Assam at the same time.
  • Punjab to Empanel Sign Language Experts
    • Punjab will become the first state in India to officially empanel:
      • Sign language interpreters
      • Translators
      • Special educators
    • The empanelment will be under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.

  • Delhi Assembly Fully Powered by Solar Energy
