Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani Appointed 3rd CDS
Defence & GeopoliticsWhat: Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani was announced on 9 May 2026 as India’s 3rd Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Secretary of the Department of Military Affairs (DMA). Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan: 27th Chief of Naval Staff

He will assume charge on 31 May 2026, succeeding Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi. He was commissioned on 1 July 1987 and is a specialist in Communication and Electronic Warfare.

ICGS Achal: India’s 5th Adamya-Class Fast Patrol Vessel Commissioned
