A new study conducted by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) highlights that 40% of India’s chief ministers are facing criminal charges.

The report gains importance in light of the central government introducing three new bills aimed at disqualifying the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, and Ministers from office if they remain in jail for more than 30 days on serious criminal charges.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched a comprehensive insurance scheme for municipal employees under the Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra campaign.

The Indian postal department has announced a temporary suspension of international postal services to the United States starting August 25, 2025.

This move follows the U.S. government’s Executive Order 14324, which abolishes the duty-free “de minimis exemption” for imports valued up to USD 800, effective August 29, 2025.

Consequently, all imported goods will now be subjected to customs duty, irrespective of their value.
